Six Months and Then Some

(ABOVE: Baby Cheese rollin' with her crew!)

(Photo above taken last month at the Audobon Zoo in New Orleans, the hat she is wearing was mine when I was a baby!)

Whoa! We have reached the six month mark! What a joy it is! Baby Cheese has found her high pitched squeal and babbles with delight as she bounces in her new jumperoo! The old colicky baby has been replaced with a much happier, more fun version of herself. The jumperoo may be our best toy purchase yet. About two weeks ago, I noticed that Baby Cheese would bounce in my lap while I held her. I didn't know if she was bouncing or trying to dance! I instantly thought the jumper would be something she would enjoy, ran out and bought one. I'm not sure if it is the cause of all of her happiness these days, I almost want to say it is, but I don't believe that *things* can make us all happy. I will say that I am VERY VERY glad we have one, though!

Around the house: Mr Cheese and I are now avid coffeemakers, thanks to this amazing coffeemaker we now have. Gotta have whole beans....just gotta!

Mr Cheese and I eagerly await UncleCheeser's wedding day! I get to wear a "Southern Belle" fancy dress and am SO STOKED!

I'm trying to get all healthy again, ie: I plan on getting back into raw food. I'm excited about that too!

Nearly Six Months!

So we are oh so close to reaching the six month mark! Where did all the time go?
Lately, I feel a sense of relief with regard to Baby Cheese, she really does like me and she giggles and smiles like I had always dreamed my child would! I'm enjoying Motherhood so much, much more than I even anticipated. I have so many wonderful Mom friends and our family is so wonderful that even though they are all far away, they help us out sooo much! Talk about being blessed. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that each and every day I wake up and thank the Lord for all of my blessings. I never in a gazillion years thought that I could be this happy. Sometimes when I talk I sound like a Baptist preacher - "God sure is Good!" just rolls from my tongue. Nothing wrong with that, it's great. My only hangup is that I think I should be doing more for others. That is a challenge while caring for your new baby though. But I'm determined that when she grows older I will find ways to help friends, family and folks that are down on their luck.

Mr Cheese sorta surprised me the other day by coming home with a Mom-Mobile. I knew we were in the market for one, but didn't expect it so soon. The thing is like a space shuttle! Everything is voice activated and it has all the bells and whistles. It is the ideal Mom Car. Now if we have more Cheeses we have the vehicle for them all! The best part is the ENTIRE family can now go out in one vehicle. ENTIRE family being the Dogs, Pugcheesy and Cheesador Retriever were very stoked to have so much room on the way to the Dog Park yesterday.

Life is Grand! I love ya'll!

Whirlwind Week!

Had an action-packed week! We came back from an amazing time in New Orleans! While there I gained several pounds!!!! Oye Vaye! Baby Cheese bonded with her MeeMaw and PopPop! They sure were ready for her, everything she could want was at their house. She also slept through the night Saturday for the VERY FIRST time! That was also the night that Mr Cheese and I enjoyed the Endymion Parade. It was so much fun, we were fortunate to be able to watch from Cousin Annie's well appointed balcony. Just so you know, Kid Rock looks just as trashy in person as he does in photos! ha!

We returned to Big D on Sunday night and I was very social on Tuesday and Wednesday with play dates and on Thursday my Best girlfriend, Jester came to town for her birthday. We were up and at it the entire time and Baby Cheese fared very well! We did some cooking, a very minor amount of shopping, and a bit of dining out. We also walked quite a bit! (which I am in dire need of). I really miss Jester and wish we lived A LOT closer to each other, Baby Cheese really seems to dig her. I think we make a good trio!
